Bajre ki Khichdi
Khichdi is an easy to digest healthy Indian food preparation made from rice and
lentils.

in many Indian states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Bengal. Vegetables
such as cauliflower, potato, and green peas are commonly added. A popular variant
in coastal Maharashtra is made with prawns.

Ingredients of Bajre ki Khichdi
- 1/3 cup bajra (black millet), washed
- 3 tablespoons yellow moong dal (split yellow gram)
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 teaspoon asafetida (hing)
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- salt to taste
How To Make Bajre Ki Khichdi
You can cook it in the pressure cooker for about 4-5 whistles and then serve with
a dollop of ghee.
Also, before adding bajra to the pressure cooker, wash and drain and keep them aside
for about 1 hour.
Make it wet a little and put in a clean cloth. Tie a knot and crush it just with
hands to take out the outer peel if you are interested in removing the peel.
