Irrfan Khan is a well known actor in film, television and theatre industry of India.

Irffan Khan was born and brought up in Jaipur into a Muslim Nawab family. He is
married to Sutapa Sikdar, a writer and has two children.
Irrfan Khan's Bollywood Career
After his graduation, Irrfan completed the acting course from National School of
Drama. He made his debut in Bollywood with the film Salaam Bombay.
Irrfan has also acted in TV serials such as Banegi Apni Baat and Chandrakanta. In
1991, Irrfan appeared in the critically acclaimed film Ek Doctor Ki Maut. In 2003,
Irrfan Khan played the title role in the critically acclaimed Maqbool, an adaptation
of Shakespeare's Macbeth. His first Filmfare Award came in the form of Best Villain
for his role in Haasil (2004).
Awards
In 2007 he won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Life in a Metro.
His film with Tabu, The Namesake (2007) was a big hit overseas and later he went
on to act in the international film, A Mighty Heart.
The actor has a small role in the award-winning Slumdog Millionaire, but has earned
him more recognition with the film's success
