Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur

Rajasthan Ayurved University(RAU) in Jodhpur is first Ayurved University in Rajasthan and second University of its kind in India. The university was established in 2002 and at present 44 colleges are affiliated to this university.

RAU has its own constituent college of Ayurved, constituent DAN & P training center and Herbal farming center.

RAU Campus

RAU campus is situated at Kadwad, on Jodhpur-Nagaur Highway and acquires 322 acres of land. It has many departments including Central Administrative Block, 263 beded Hospital, Academic Block, Residential Quarters, Sports Complex, Herbal garden & Herbal farm etc. This institute has a conducive environment with functions of the teaching, research and technology. The climatic conditions around the university, landscaping and cost effectiveness makes it eco-friendly.

Courses and Admission Process

Rajasthan Ayurved University conducts UG, PG, Diploma and Doctoral courses like BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, MD (Ayu.), MD (Homoeo), PhD (Ayurveda). Diploma courses are of 1 year duration, UG courses are of 4 yrs or 5 and half years. M.D courses has 2 years and for PhD it conducts 2-7years program. The university also conducts certification for Ksharsutra, Panch Karma and B. Pharma courses.

For admission in RAU affiliated colleges the university conducts an entrance exam of state level and national level. After clearing the exam the candidates are selected on the basis of merit list.

RAU’s own Hospital and Patients care Services

RAU has its own Hospital with OPD and IPD facilities at Jhalamand circle.  The specialized OPD services in Kayachikitsa, Panchkarma, Shalya-Shalakya, Stri-Prasuti, Bala Roga and Swastha Rakshan are available in this hospital by the faculty.

Presently IPD Services are available with 100 beds in the campus. The university hospital has already developed Shalya-karmagar (O.T.) and Panchkarma-karmagar where a large number of patients are getting treatment every day.

Research and Development Activities

The students and faculty member of RAU are encouraged to write projects for financial support from funding agencies like ICMR, CCRAS, CCRUM, CCRYN, CCRH, CSIR, DST, UGC, INSA etc. as well as international agencies like WHO, NIH etc. The University is going to develop its research laboratories with facilities for advanced biochemical, microbiological and immunological investigations.

Regional College for Education Research and Technology, Jaipur

Regional College for Education Research & Technology is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is established in a Sitapura area which is hub for education and research.

Gyan Vihar School of Hotel Management is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The college comes under Suresh Gyan Vihar University which was established in 1994, by the great academician and thinker Acharya Shri Purushottam Uttam.

SGVU is recognized by the university grants commission (UGC) and is included in the list of private universities maintained by the university grants commission under section 2 (f) of UGC Act 1956.

Objective

Gyan Vihar School of Hotel Management’s objective is to provide the opportunity to the students for obtaining knowledge in a variety of disciplines related to the hotel industry.

Courses

The college offers 4-year Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology program with an annual intake of 60 students. Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College, Udaipur

Rabindra Nath Tagore Medical College (RNTMC), situated in Udaipur, was established in the year 1962.

The college is recognized by Medical Council of India and is affiliated to Rajasthan University of Health and Sciences, Jaipur.

The building of RNTMC was donated by the HH ex-Maharana of Udaipur and its administrative block is housed in another historical palace that was donated by Salumber Rao.

Objective

RNTMC was started with an objective to spread the light of medical education in the state. Over the years, the college has become one of the leading medical institutes in the state. It imparts academic excellence in the field of medicines at multiple levels.

Courses and Admission Procedure

RNTMC offers 5.5 years bachelor’s degree courses in MBBS. To get admission in the college the candidate has to clear PMT (pre medical test) and after that merit list is prepared on the basis of score of the candidates. As per the Government of India norms, the reservation for SC, ST and OBC is available in the college.

Every year, the college offers 100 seats in graduation, 66 seats in post graduation, 18 seats in diploma and 1 seat in DM Cardiology, which commenced from 2006.

Training Standard of RNTMC and Facilities

RNTMC has a very good and professional training standard especially in medicine. It has started offering one seat in DM cardiology from 2006 as well. The students get trained here and it is rendering its services to patients from both rural & urban sectors. The college also provides all basic facilities like canteen, hostel, well furnished classroom, library, conference hall etc.

Practical Education in Hospitals

National Law University, Jodhpur

National Law University, also known as NLU is situated in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It was established in Act, 1999 (Act No. 22 of 1999).

The University is established for the advancement of learning, teaching, research and diffusion of knowledge in the field of law. National Law University was one of the first institutions in India to offer degrees viz. B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.) at the undergraduate level.

Infrastructure and Facilities of College

NLU has a large campus spanning in 50 Acres of land at Nagaur Bikaner National Highway. The college has completely air-conditioned classrooms with LCD projector installed in each classroom. The Library of National Law University Jodhpur has a collection of more than 10,000 books and it also has well equipped Science laboratories.

The Food Craft Institute in Udaipur was established in 1989. It under takes various training programmes for hotels, restaurants, dhabas etc. apart from its regular courses.

The institute is affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology. The total number of seats for admission are 200.

Course Offered by Institute

Food Craft Institute offers front office, housekeeping, food production and food & beverage courses. These four are diploma courses of duration one and half year.

Front office course is to train the students in reception work calls for public relations and skill in dealing with people of different types. Housekeeping course is for hotel and institutional housekeeping which is too importance. Similarly food production ad food & beverage courses are for successful running of every Hotel & Catering Industry.
