National Law University, also known as NLU is situated in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It was established in Act, 1999 (Act No. 22 of 1999).
The University is established for the advancement of learning, teaching, research and diffusion of knowledge in the field of law. National Law University was one of the first institutions in India to offer degrees viz. B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Sc., LL.B. (Hons.) at the undergraduate level.
Infrastructure and Facilities of College
NLU has a large campus spanning in 50 Acres of land at Nagaur Bikaner National Highway. The college has completely air-conditioned classrooms with LCD projector installed in each classroom. The Library of National Law University Jodhpur has a collection of more than 10,000 books and it also has well equipped Science laboratories.
The university is IT savvy with Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus and 24 hour availability of the Internet at 4Mbps speed. Except these the university provides halls of residence, faculty residence, guest house, gym, mess block and many more facilities to its students and faculty.
Courses and Admission procedure
National Law University provides various undergraduate, post graduate and PhD courses related with the field of law. In undergraduate courses it conducts B.B.A. (Hons.) LL.B. (Hons), B.Sc. Technology (Hons.) LL.B. (Hons.), B.P.Sc. (Hons.) LL.B. (Hons.).
For students looking for post graduation the university conducts Management and Law, Insurance, Intellectual Property Rights, Constitutional Governance, International Trade and WTO, Banking and Finance, Master of Science, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Technology Management courses.
For admission to all undergraduate courses the candidate has to clear a common law admission test (CLAT) and admission will be given on the merit basis. Eligibility criteria for the post graduation and PhD are given at the college website.
