The town of Fatehpur in Shekhawati region has its share of havelis, but few are as beautiful with fresco and well maintained as those in nearby towns like Mandawa.

Fatehpur History

The Muslim Kayamkhani Nawab, Fateh Khan established Fatehpur in 1451. He constructed the fort of Fatehpur in 1449 and ruled up to 1474. It served as the capital of him.

Shekhawat Rajputs took it over in the 18th century.
