Shankara Institute of Technology, promoted by the S.K Chaudhary Educational Trust, is affiliated to the Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, Rajasthan. It was established to promote quality education in Technology and Management. The “S.k. Chaudhary Educational Trust” is already helping millions in the region of Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu; particularly in the backward sections of society.

Courses in College

The institute is offering Four-year degree programs of Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Three year program of Masters of Computer Application (MCA) and a Two years Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Departments and Facilities in College

Laboratories of all departments are equipped with state of arts equipments from reputed hardware manufactures to train the students. The highly qualified lab personnel in each lab undertake the practical in module which makes the process equivalent to Advance Research &department standards of high class.

Shankara Institute has a Training & Placement Cell which is instrumental in interacting with the corporate world to secure final placements and summer assignments for the students.

It has a placement portal to automate the placement process at the college. Employers can use this portal to communicate with the College Placement Office and through necessary permissions manage campus recruitment and hire students and alumni online. Many MNC and good companies visits this institute for placement.

Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur – One of the Centers of Excellence in India

MNITRajasthan “Royal land of India” famous among tourists from across the globe has taken several initiatives to improve the educational scenario in the state.

Apart from school education various initiatives have also been taken to enhance the status of higher education.  There are many engineering colleges, institutes for the expansion and improvement of technical education in the state.

We are starting an exclusive series of blogs on educational centers in Rajasthan. The first name which comes to our mind is certainly MNIT, Jaipur.

About MNIT

The Malaviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur is one of the Centers of Excellence in the country. It was established by the MHRD, Government of India. The education institute is governed by the NIT council under the HRD Ministry.

The current Director of the Institute is Prof. R.P.Dahiya.

History

MNIT Jaipur was established in the year 1963. The college was inspired by the great educationist and freedom fighter Pt.Madan Mohan Malaviya and thus named as Malaviya Regional Engineering College. It was framed by joint efforts of the Government of India and the State Government.

In the year 2002, Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur was given the status of a Deemed University. The institute imparts courses in the engineering field at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.

Courses in MNIT

The Institute conducts various educational programmes leading to the degree of Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.), Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.), Master of Technology (MTech.), Master of Science (MSc.), Master of Business Administration (M.B.A), Master of Planning and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) in different areas. The institute is having high class faculty including professors, readers, lecturers etc.

Infrastructure of MNIT

The infrastructure of MNIT is very good as it has well equipped library, computer lab, seminar halls,various laboratories, workshops, hostels, health care center, mess, facilities for sports and different departments etc.

There are two canteens to provide refreshments to the students and the staff. There are two guest houses in the campus for needs of guests and students. There is a branch of the Bank of Rajasthan Limited and a Post-Office in the campus.

Other reputed banks such as SBI, ICICI, PNB etc. are within walking distance from the institute campus. A full-fledged Dispensary is also available in the campus which is supervised by a residential Medical Officer.

Placements

Several national and multi-national companies visit MNIT’s campus regularly. Some of the brand names from IT and Non IT companies are ZENSAR, ACCENTURE, WIPRO, INFOSYS, HINDUSTAN ZINC, NEI BEARINGS, BEL, TATA MOTORS.  The average placement figures as quoted from different reports come out to be in ascending order of about Rupees four-five lakhs. The highest package has gone of 11LACS.
