Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Ajmer is believed to be one of the outstanding medical institutions in Ajmer, Rajasthan. It was founded in 1965.
Admission Process and Courses
Admissions are done by selection of candidates through a two phase combined medical Entrance examination test, which is common to all medical colleges of the state. The students are assigned into one of the six medical colleges in Rajasthan on the basis of merit list.
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College provides 5.5 years bachelor’s degree courses in MBBS. It conducts undergraduate courses like MBBS, Gynaecology etc, post diploma in Anesthesia, Child Health and Super Specialty Courses in MCH Neuro Plastic Surgery, Radio-Diagnosis etc.
Facilities in College
Like in every college the students of this college are provided the best facilities like – separate girls and boy’s hostel, well stocked libraries, laboratories, Transport, mess etc.
Different Departments
The college has a Cobalt plant, a CT scan machine and a new female hospital. Separate buildings have been constructed for the cardiology department and urology department. The orthopedics department, the burn unit and the E.N.T department now have an audiometric instrument each and there are also two audiometric rooms in the medical college.
