About M.B.M
M.B.M engineering college Jodhpur is one of the best engineering colleges in India. The college was established on 15th August, 1951. This is the oldest college after Independence, even older than the oldest IIT Kharaghpur.
International Standard of College
Engineers produced by this institute are working all over the world. It meets with international standards for an engineering institute. The research products from this college have not only raised the name of the college, but it also raised the name of the Jodhpur city.
An example of this is “soil bearing capacity testing equipment” produced by Dr Alam Singh. A number of books written by the professors from this college are being used as text book in many universities in the world, including IIT’s and NIIT’s in India. This is only the engineering institute in the world which has its mining department with its own underground mine with ventilation system.
Courses Offered by M.B.M
The college offers 4 years bachelor’s degree courses in Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science, Industrial Production Engg. Â Admission to these courses is made through a merit list prepared on the basis of the score of the candidates in the Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy (RPETEAP). The college also conducts the educational programmes for M.E. and M.C.A.

The infrastructure of M.B.M is very good as it has well equipped library, computer lab, seminar halls, various laboratories, workshops,hostels,health care centre,Mess,facilities for sports and different departments etc.
