Retail Industry in Rajasthan

As per a study conducted by the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), the retail sector is expected to contribute to 22 per cent of India’s GDP by 2010. This makes India among the most attractive countries for global retailers.

According to the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) as on September 2009, Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows in single-brand retail trading, stood at US$ 47.43 million.
